A very rare Jacobite ale glass having a large round funnel bowl finely engraved with a rose, open and closed buds and a moth , sitting on a cushion knop above a terraced foot.

Height 4 5/16th ins 11 cm

A superb glass in perfect original condition.

glasses of this size and form are often referred to as water glasses , however water was not something you would want to drink in the 18th century and certainly not by any self respecting Scot !!
