A rare wine glass decorated in the workshop of William Beilby, having a large round funnel bowl decorated in white enamels with an obelisk with an urn on top surrounded by trees and foliage ,with an incised twist stem on a plain conical foot .

Height 4 11/16th ins 11.9 cm

This glass belongs to a very small group of identical incised twist wine glasses with various scenes, see James Rush , A Beilby Odyssey page 41 No 104 also Bickerton (1986) page 335 No 1090, and another sold by Bonhams November 2022. lot 135 .
