A superb Baluster goblet with rare lipped round funnel bowl over a stem comprising a ball knop, an angular knop and a teared true baluster knop,standing on a domed and folded foot.

There is an almost identical glass illustrated in "Bickerton" plate 143 however this is given a date of 1730, in conversation with a learned colleague it was concluded that in view of the clarity and quality of the metal and the high quality of construction an earlier date was deemed appropriate and most likely from a London glass house.

A wonderful goblet in very fine original condition.
