A magnificent and previously unrecorded double magnum Jacobite decanter of shouldered cylinder form, beautifully engraved with a large variant double rose, single closed bud and leaves, further decorated with grapes and vine leaves, fitted with a spire stopper , which is a period replacement, the engraving is most likely by Engraver C

Formerly in the collection of the late Commander Coventry Makdill-Crichton-Maitland, the collection being mostly formed C1910/20 and thence by descent.
