A very fine and rare sweetmeat glass , having a panel moulded double ogee bowl with diamonds at the base, with three collars above a double series opalescent stem, all on a panel moulded and domed foot.

The question as to whether opalescent stems were accidental or deliberate has never been answered with any certainty , as Barrington Haynes said , if accidental then it's a happy accident, I have seen too many glasses including wines ,drams, mixed twists etc to believe they are accidents , more likely a product of a single glass house , either way they are very appealing and rare.
